PSA tackles athletics, tennis

HEADS of both the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association and the Philippine Tennis Association will be gracing Tuesday’s session of the Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum at the Tapa King Restaurant at Farmers Plaza in Cubao.

Philta chief Atty. Antonio Cablitas, also presidential adviser on foreign investments, and men’s national team coach Chris Cuarto are going to talk about the federation’s preparation for the coming Asian Games in Indonesia as well as the country’s stint in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group II tie against Thailand at the PCA clay court in Plaza Dilao over the weekend.

His Patafa counterpart Philip Ella Juico, meanwhile, will be accompanied by secretary general Renato Unso, Ilagan City Mayor Evelyn Diaz, and former Mayor Jay Diaz to tackle this year’s edition of the Philippine Athletic Championship in Ilagan, Isabela from May 31 to June 4.

The session starts at 10:30 a.m.

The weekly public sports program is backed by San Miguel Corp., Tapa King, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
