Paul Lee’s foul on Santos allowed the Beermen to end their game with a four-point cushion, as they moved closer to their fourth straight crown.

SMB's JuneMar Fajardo raises his 6th PBA Best Player of the Conference award, a record.

Alex Cabagnot led the Beermen with 27 points, including a putback in the last four minutes that handed them a seven-point edge, 77-70.

Marcio Lassiter made 18 points, with his triple in the last 2:51, finding its mark for an 80-77 lead right after the Hotshots threatened, 74-77, following Ian Sangalang’s alley-oop shot off Rome de la Rosa’s steal and pass.

Sangalang came up with a double double of 22 points and 11 rebounds.

SMB can wrap up the title with a win on Friday.
