Homeowners dress their dogs

Dog-loving residents of Amaia Scapes Iloilo had a blast dressing their canine companions for the “Kung Hei Arf Show” event.

From frisky shih tzus to gentle bulldogs and from pint-sized chihuahuas to mini pinchers, dogs of various breeds showed off their amazing talents and their best OOTDs (Outfit of the Day), while their excited humans looked forward to bring home the top prizes.

At the end of the show, the following tandems of “humoms” and pets received awards and prizes from Amaia: Vergie Dorrique and mini pincher Gracie (Best in OOTD); Kiara Nelida and shih tzu Kiara (Most Behaved); Melody Joy Emporial and shih tzu Bruce (Best in Costume); Angele Bedia and shih tzu Gail (Best in Tandem); and Lynette Labating and bulldog Xurvivor Xeuz (Best in Show).

All participants were judged by Brgy. Kagawad Fred Jetulle, Brgy. Treasurer Christine Abalajon and Amaia Land’s project director for VisMin Joy Wong.

“We would like to thank Amaia Scapes Iloilo’s homeowners and their pets for actively participating in ‘Kung Hei Arf Show.’ The event turned out to be fun-filled and exciting because of them,” said Grace Guinto of Amaia Land.

She added, “Community engagement activities such as this set Amaia Scapes Iloilo—and other Amaia developments—apart from the rest. These prove that we are a thriving and vibrant community that shares the same vision and interests.”

Located at Barangay San Jose in San Miguel, Amaia Scapes Iloilo is Amaia’s first economic housing development in the highly urbanized city, which is now regarded as the regional center of Western Visayas. It offers innovatively designed homes like Bungalow Pod, Carriage Pod, Single Home, and Twin Pod—all made affordable for hardworking Ilonggos who aspire to have their own homes.

The residential development provides accessibility to key retail establishments: healthcare facilities like Riverside Medical Center and Our Lady of Mercy Hospital; and learning institutions like the University of San Agustin, University of the Philippines Visayas, and Central Philippine University. The Parish of St. Michael the Archangel and the Iloilo Technohub are also nearby.
