After 11 weeks of auditions with 98 acts that made it through the next round, Pilipinas Got Talent judges Freddie “FMG” Garcia, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, and Vice Ganda finally made the cut and determined the 28 acts that will compete in the semi-finals that will kick off this weekend.
Twelve acts from Luzon made it to the next level that include Aloha Philippines, Prinsipe Makata, JM Bayot, Jeptah Callitong, Karl Matrix, Antonio Bathan Jr, Jonacris Bandillo, Bu-Away Folklore Dance Troupe, Dauntless Republic, Joven Olvido, and Golden Buzzer acts Bardilleranza and Kristel De Catalina.
Maka Girls, Angel Fire New Gen, Dancing Fire Warriors, Cebeco II Blue Knights, and Golden Buzzer acts Julius and Rhea represent the Visayas, while Salimpokaw Ko Masa Dance Troupe, Xtreme Dancers, and Golden Buzzer act DWC Aeon Flex represent Mindanao.
Meanwhile, eight acts from Metro Manila will also get another shot to show what they got at the PGT semis. They are Junior FMX Extreme, Orville Tonido, Pedro Lachica, Rico the Magician, Miggy Hizon, Johnny Villanueva, Mad Queens, and Golden Buzzer act Nocturnal Dance Company.
For the first time in PGT history, the competition goes to different locations— Pasay City, Taytay, Rizal, and San Fernando, Pampanga— to bring the PGT experience closer to more Kapamilyas.
Only two acts per week will advance to the grand finals. The first act will be chosen based on text votes, while the second act will be chosen by the judges. To vote via SMS, text PGT (name of contestant) and send to 2366 for all networks. Only one vote per sim.
