The former aide of ex-Senator Jinggoy Estrada is facing charges at the Sandiganbayan for alleged non-disclosure of her ownership of two condominium units.
Pauline Therese Mary Labayen Cabico, who served as director in Estrada’s office, was charged with four counts each of perjury and for allegedly violating Section 8 of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
Labayen is facing a separate charge at the anti-graft court for allegedly omitting her ownership of a unit at The Manila Residences in Malate, Manila from her 2008 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth.
Similarly, she is also facing charges for her non-disclosure in her SALNs for 2010 to 2012 her ownership of a unit and a parking lot at the Makati Executive Tower IV in Makati City.
Prosecutors recommended bail amounting to P6,000 for each count of perjury and P10,000 for each count of Code of Conduct violation, or a total of P64,000.
The charges were raffled off to the anti-graft court’s Seventh Division.
The fugitive Labayen was a co-accused of Estrada and alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles in the plunder case.
