IN support of the government efforts to promote homegrown products, Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte joined a three-day Davao City’s organic exposition to promote her own clothing line inspired by the indigenous Yakan weavers in Mindanao.
With her friend and business partner Louie Lobregat in the Linea Etnika fashion company, Belmonte said she was honored to participate in the Organic and Natural Expo or ONE Mindanao held at SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang, which was graced by no less than President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Mindanao has a lot to offer when it comes to traditional and organic products, and this activity is one good step to raise public awareness on the benefits and availability of natural and organic products in the market,” she said.
