As the guest speaker of the event, Mayor Cayetano acknowledged the significance and participation of every policewoman in maintaining the community’s peace and order. She also acknowledged the sacrifices of every woman, mother, sister, and daughter in giving shares to the success of every organization.

Meanwhile, the National Police Commission approved the restructuring and strengthening of the NCRPO and the Police Mobile Forces (PMF) to increase police visibility and ensure maximum efficiency in meeting the challenges of the times.

Napolcom Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Rogelio Casurao said the commission came up with Resolution 2018-114, dated February 28, 2018, approving the creation of two additional divisions under the NCRPO on top of its current seven Regional Staff Divisions.

The Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division shall handle the training needs of NCRPO personnel and the monitoring of the implementation and application of PNP doctrines, while the Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division is in compliance with the requirements of the PNP Performance Governance System (PGS) and other strategic programs.

The Resolution also provides for the renaming of the NCRPO Public Safety Battalion to Mobile Force Battalion and the strengthening of its personnel complement that would result in increased police visibility with the dispersal of its personnel to the different police stations in Metro Manila.

The renaming of the NCRPO Regional Police-Community Relations Division to NCRPO Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, on the other hand, is in line with the PNP’s mandate as a community and service-oriented agency which focuses on community affairs and development.

On March 6, 2018, the Napolcom also approved Resolution һ2018-119 amending the nomenclatures of the PNP Public Safety Forces to PNP Mobile Forces and further rationalizing the distribution of PMF to ensure maximum economy and efficiency in terms of manpower and equipment.

”The strengthening of the NCRPO and the PMF is geared towards further enhancing the PNP’s capability and efficiency in performing its mandated functions in line with the provisions of Executive Order No. 546, series 2006, which require the police to actively support the Armed Forces of the Philippines in internal security operations for the suppression of insurgency and other serious threats to national security,” Casurao said.
