At least six (6) members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) died in Maguindanao.
This comes following the attack by the military in the BIFF's camp in Datu Saudi Ampatuan town on Thursday night.
The BIFF led by a certain Kumander Peni fought with government troops.
Two helicopters aided the soldiers on the ground as they were conducting the operations.
Some reinforcements arrived and chased the BIFF members, which reportedly numbered to about 50.
BIFF is a breakaway group of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Its current leader is Ismael Abubakar.
BIFF claims it has about 5,000 fighters across Central Mindanao.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) says, the group has around 300 members.
BIFF was founded by Ameril Umbra Kato in 2008.
