"After this hearing, voting for probable cause will be scheduled next week," Umali said.

He explained, "this is to give time to the members to discern their vote. It will be based on the individual appreciation of facts."

The hearing today tackled, among others, the allegation of complainant Attorney Larry Gadon that Sereno failed to submit to the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) her complete Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALNs).

This was when she applied for the position of Chief Justice in 2012.

Officials from the JBC are appearing in the hearing.

Also present are two psychiatrists who conducted the psychiatric and psychological evaluations on Sereno when she applied for the Supreme Court's top post.

JBC regular member Attorney Milagros Cayosa told lawmakers the results of the tests are confidential.

She also said the documents may only be used for the purpose they were drafted – referring to the selection process for the chief justice.
