Miss Philippines Earth 2016 Imelda Bautista Schweighart has filed a case for child support and violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 against the father of her son, Police Inspector Christopher Dulagan, Man of the World-Philippines 2016.
Schweighart was accompanied by her mother Beth Bautista and lawyer Stephen Guerrero in the preliminary hearing at the Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service office in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Dulagan “made up excuses” to not appear in the preliminary hearing, Guerrero said.
Schweighart filed for emotional and economic abuse against Dulagan, which she said could result in another case of child abuse and slander if the policeman does not show up in the next hearing on Monday, Feb. 26.
The beauty queen is bent on bringing the case to court if Dulagan does not address the issue. The policeman could be dismissed from service if found guilty.
