Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan will lead city government employees in a Thanksgiving Mass in front of the new city hall building on Thursday.
The event is in line with Caloocan’s month-long 56th cityhood celebration.
Malapitan said more developmental works are in the offing for the city’s welfare.
On Valentine’s Day, more than 700 pairs of couples tied the knot in a mass wedding held at the Caloocan City Sports Complex in Bagumbong.
In preparation for the Chinese New Year countdown on Friday, motorists were requested to avoid the Bonifacio Monument area to give way to a concert and fireworks display.
On Feb. 16, the city government will honor its outstanding citizens and investors in simple rites dubbed “OCA Night” to be held at the Complex Park at 5 p.m.
Other events to take place are the Tiburin Race on Feb. 18; Miss Caloocan pre-pageant on Feb. 19; and mega job fairs on Feb. 20 and March 8.
Meanwhile, the recent “Passport on Wheels” program was carried out successfully by the city’s civil registry department in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Another passport processing is expected to take place in April.
