Filipino caregiver missing in Taiwan quake

A female Filipino caregiver is unaccounted for in Taiwan.

This comes following the magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck Hualien County just before Tuesday midnight.

Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) Chairperson Angelito Banayo said the Filipino caregiver was inside one of the buildings damaged by the tremor.

Banayo also reported that a team from his office has gone to the disaster area.

Philippine Labor Attache Cesar Chavez is leading the group.

No Filipino fatality has been reported so far.

International news agencies report at least four were killed in the earthquake.

More than a hundred were injured.

About 173 persons are missing.
