Weather bureau PAGASA has spotted a low pressure are (LPA) inside the country.
Weather forecaster Chris Perez says, the weather disturbance is located 505 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
He, however, does not think the LPA will develop into a storm.
Nevertheless, he reports that the northeast monsoon or 'amihan' prevails in Northern and Central Luzon.
It is bringing cloudy skies and some rainshowers in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Aurora.
The northeast monsoon is also affecting Metro Manila, Ilocos and the rest of Central Luzon.
These areas will have partly cloudy skies and isolated thunderstorms.
The trough of the LPA will result in scattered rainshowers in some portions of Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.
The rest of the country will have cloudy skies with possible localized thunderstorms.
