The Caloocan Regional Trial Court (RTC) has issued warrants of arrest against the Calooocan policeme allegedly involved in the deaths of University of the Philippines (UP) student Carl Angelo Arnaiz and his 14-year-old companion Reynaldo de Guzman.

The arrest warrants were released by Caloocan RTC Branch 122 Judge Georgina Hidalgo.

This is in connection with the criminal complaints filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) against Police Officers One Jeffrey Perez and Ricky Arquilita.

The DOJ earlier filed in court cases of double murder, torture and planting of evidence against the cops.

19-year-old Arnaiz and De Guzman went missing on August 17 last year and his body was found in a morgue ten days later.

De Guzman's corpse was found in Gapan, Nueva Ecija 20 days later.

His remains bore 26 stab wounds.

The DOJ gave credence to the testimony of a bystander who saw the shooting of Arnaiz.

Arnaiz was reportedly handcuffed, on his knees and begging for his life when he was killed by the cops.
