Two hostages freed in Sulu

The Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) has released two Indonesian hostages.

The victims have been identified as La Utu bin La Raali and La Hadi La Edi.

They were held captive by the bandits for more than a year.

They were kidnapped off Malaysian waters on November 4, 2016.

Joint Task Force Sulu says, the hostages were brought to the residents of Former Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan in Barangay Asturias, Jolo last night.

The task force has taken custody of the Indonesians. 

They are now undergoing medical examinations and debriefing.
