The Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) has ordered the re-arrest of communist leaders Benito and Wilma Tiamzon.
The order was issued by Manila RTC Judge Thelma Bunyi-Medina of Branch 32.
The court granted the motion of the Department of Justice (DOJ) seeking the couple's recommitment and cancellation of bail.
The DOJ made the move following the cancellation of peace negotiations between government and the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP/NPA/NDF).
President Rodrigo Duterte formalized the termination of the peace talks in November last year through Proclamation Number 360.
This was following the attacks of the communist insurgents against government troops and civilians.
