Lava fountaining is observed over Mayon in Albay.
Since last night, the volcano went into this activity four times.
Lava is flowing along the Bonga gully.
From the cater, pyroclastic materials have reached about 2 kilometers down the slopes of the volcano.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) says, Mayon's activities went up last night.
More instances of lava collapse are expected in the coming days.
Nevertheless, the volcano's alert level remains at number 3.
This means, there is "increased tendency towards eruption."
This status was put in place two days ago.
About 4,000 residents living within Mayon's six-kilometer danger zone have fled their homes.
The evacuees come from at least three barangays.
