Combined elements from the Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group and the Bureau of Immigration held 153 foreigners who are reportedly involved in fraudulent telecom operations.
The foreigners, who are mostly from Taiwan and China, were seized following the raids in the villages of Nagtupacan and Bayubay Sur in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, and in Las Piñas City in Metro Manila.
The PNP-ACG and the Bureau of Immigration took custody of 153 foreigners in raids in the villages of Nagtupacan and Bayubay Sur in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, and in Las Piñas City in Metro Manila.
The PNP asaid the raids were made possible after Chinese police tipped them off on the alleged fround last November 2017. The suspects were monitored through a list of 100 Internet protocol addresses in China coming from the Philippines.
