Some 22 percent of the respondents, meanwhile, said the  performances of Duterte and Aquino were just the same.

The same survey also showed 69 percent of respondents saying Duterte’s actions were “appropriate” for a President, while 18 percent believed otherwise as “inappropriate”—resulting into a net rating of +51.

Indecision, meanwhile, is at 13 percent.

Across geographical regions, Duterte got  the highest approval from those surveyed in his home region, Mindanao, at 86 percent, followed by those in Metro Manila at 73 percent, Visayas at 64 percent, and Luzon at 63 percent.

Aquino’s highest approval, meanwhile, came from respondents in Metro Manila at 10 percent, followed by those in Luzon and Visayas (9 percent) and Mindanao (3 percent).

In the same survey, 86 percent of respondents believe the country is in the right direction under Duterte, while 12 percent say otherwise.

This is seven points higher than the 79 percent recorded in September 2017.

The latest survey, fielded among 1,200 respondents, had sampling error margins of ±3 percent.
