The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested about 1,500 suspects since it resumed the campaign against illegal drugs.
The arrests were made within the last month or from December 5, 2017 until today.
The PNP reports, five drug suspects were killed in its operations during this period.
One policeman was wounded.
At least 10 suspects surrendered to authorities.
Cops conducted nine anti-drug raids.
PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa had encouraged the police to intensify the drive against illegal drugs during his last 3 months in office.
Dela Rosa is set to leave the helm of the police force on January 21.
He will reach the mandatory retirement age of 56 on that day.
Human rights organizations claimed about 14,000 persons were killed since the Duterte administration launched its war on drugs.
