Stressing that the stewardship of Metro Manila’s water supply in the east and west zones are in good hands, Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Administrator Reynaldo V. Velasco congratulated Manila Water president and CEO Ferdinand M. dela Cruz and Maynilad president Ramoncito S. Fernandez for  winning recent recognition and accolades, respectively from various sectors.

Ferdinand dela Cruz

“The water sector particularly MWSS takes pride in having two best engineers and excellent managers as partners in service who are now at the helm of Maynilad and Manila Water whose individual leadership goes beyond the borders of their respective zones but are equally recognized by prestigious groups on account of their good stewardship and being in a class of their own,” Velasco said.

In his acceptance speech, Dela Cruz said:

“I would like to dedicate this recognition to a number of people who have allowed me to grow personally and professionally, including the men and women of Manila Water who tirelessly work 24/7 to provide excellent water and used water services in Metro Manila, in other parts of the country, and increasingly in the Asean region. I have been awed by the quality of the work they do and they are walking manifestations of how great Filipino engineers can be.”
