 History’s must-watch shows

Are you prepared to solve the mystery of an unknown serial killer, discover the value of forgotten treasures, or uncover gripping historical epics? From mysteries, dramas and thought-provoking documentaries, History dares you to put these shows on your new must-watch list in January 2018.

Are you ready to hunt down one of history’s infamous serial murderers? On Jan. 3, at 9 p.m. catch the brand-new series The Hunt For The Zodiac Killer and watch the investigation of the case of the twisted killer who terrorized America in the 1960s to the 70s, and left taunting codes with bizarre symbols in his wake.  

History channel's 'Knightfall' explores the fall of the Knights Templar, their brotherhood and their devotion to the holy relics (such as The Holy Grail) 

Then, join the Harrison family for the new season of the hit series Pawn Stars. Starting on Jan. 29 at 9 p.m., step inside this family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas where Richard, his son Rick, and grandson Corey carefully assess the value of items ranging from the obscure to the truly extraordinary. Follow Rick as he tries to seal the deal on a historic world war gun scope; Chumlee investigates an ancient bronze statue; and Corey goes over a storyboard from a classic animated movie. The historical epic Knightfall returns with new episodes on Jan. 4 at 9:55 p.m. same day as the US telecast. Follow the Knights Templar on their mission to find the lost Cup of Christ. And in this new episode, tensions are high during Princess Isabella’s wedding preparations. While King Philip, in fear of an attack, asks the Knights Templar for help in protecting the palace.
