Golden Bay Properties Inc., a developer led by the Wong family, is spending nearly P4.5 billion in two projects in the Bay Area next year.
Golden Bay chief operating officer Jardin Brian Wong said the company, which started in the food business, was determined to make a mark in the real estate sector following the strong demand for office and residential spaces in the Bay Area.
“We want to set a new trend for the business people in Binondo, where our companies and many Filipino-Chinese companies are headquartered. The Macapagal Bay Area is fast becoming a central business district and we want to present the opportunity that Fil-Chinese businesses can thrive outside our comfort zone. We want them to embrace change and progress,” he said.
Aspire Corporate Plaza, the first of the two projects, is a P2-billion corporate building that is now pioneering the sales, instead of lease arrangements, of office space. The 10-floor project is on its pre-selling phase with three and a half floors already sold to Filipino and Chinese companies.
