A seven-foot bronze statue of a Filipino comfort woman is unveiled along bayside Roxas Blvd. in Manila in remembrance of the 1,000 Filipino women conscripted into sexual slavery in the Japanese-run ‘comfort stations’ during World War II although only a few hundreds have thus far been documented.
