Departure honors given to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang

Chinese Premier Le Keqiang is now leaving the country.

The Chinese leader came to the Philippines for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Summit.

His convoy arrived today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 at 11:30 am.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) gave him full military honors. 

Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano is at the airport to bid Li goodbye.

A red carpet was rolled out for the departure honors.

The plane carrying the head of state is about to fly back to Beijing any moment now (11:45 am).

Li is the last world leader who joined the ASEAN Summit to leave the Philippines.

While he was here, 14 cooperation agreements were signed between China and the Philippines.

The signing of the accords were witnessed by Li and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
