FIVE games and counting, Jojo Lastimosa and his NLEX-SCTEX Road Warriors have remained unbeaten in the Marikina City Basketball League.

The Road Warriors added Philippine Army to their list of victims following a one-sided 103-88 win just recently at the Marikina Sports Center.

Using their balanced production anchored on Cameroonian import Ola Adeogun and ex-pros Dexter Apinan and Byron Villarias, the Road Warriors posted their fifth win in as many games to stay on top of the standings.

Adeogun had another double-double performance of 17 points and 13 rebounds as he proved to be unstoppable inside for NLEX-SCTEX coached by Lastimosa.

Apinan and Villarias, who saw action for the Road Warriors in the PBA, also provided the needed firepower.

A forward who played for the Adamson Falcons, Apinan had 16 markers while Villarias, cousin of second overall rookie pick Kiefer Ravena, chipped in 13, the same output produced by Arvin Vitug and Mark Pangilinan.

Powerhouse Hobe Macaway proved to be too much for Quick Print, 127-111, as former PBA players like Jeff Viernes and Ronjay Buenafe exploded from the perimeter.

Viernes, who also plays as import in Malaysia, scattered 23 points, including seven triples. Lim had 22 points.

Buenafe, who is also trying out for a spot with the NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA, poured in 20 markers.
