Only a handful of registrants showed up for the second day of voters' registration for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections to be held next year.
This was observed on Tuesday at the office of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) District 1 and 2 in Pasay City.
A few students and employees of the city hall turned up.
Comelec is asking registrants to take advantage of this period and avoid rushing to Comelec offices on the last day of registration.
Voters' registration will go on until November 30.
Those who are registering for barangay elections must bring one government-issued Identification Card (ID) or a company ID.
Registrants for the SK elections must bring their birth certificates.
The SK and barangay elections will be conducted nationwide on the second Monday of May, 2018.
Prior to President Rodrigo Duterte's postponement, these political exercises were supposed to be held last October 23.
