Broadcast leader GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) continued its strong showing in the nationwide television ratings in October based on data from Nielsen Phils. TV Audience Measurement.
From Oct. 1 to 28 (with Oct. 22 to 28 based on overnight data), GMA maintained its ratings supremacy in the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) gaining an average total day people audience share of 41.7 percent besting ABS-CBN’s 38.1 percent.
Kapuso Network posted winning numbers across all day parts in NUTAM. In the morning block, GMA registered a 38.5 percent people audience share versus ABS-CBN’s 35.9 percent.
The Network’s powerhouse afternoon line-up dominated its time block with 45.4 percent as against ABS-CBN’s 37.5 percent. Subsequently, the evening block was also ruled by GMA with 40.2 percent versus competition’s 39.4 percent.
GMA likewise toppled its rival network in all time blocks in both Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which respectively account for 76 and 59 percent of all urban viewers in the country.
In Urban Luzon, the Network garnered a total day people audience share of 47.2 percent; way ahead of ABS-CBN’s 32.6 percent.
GMA also sustained its dominance in Mega Manila (based on Oct. 1 to 21 data) with 48.8 percent total day people audience share versus ABS-CBN’s 29.3 percent.
More Kapuso shows also made it to the list of top programs in NUTAM with the award-winning weekly family sitcom Pepito Manaloto as the most watched Kapuso program nationwide in October.
Included in the list as well were Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho; 24 Oras; Magpakailanman; Super Ma’am; Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko; 24 Oras Weekend; All-Star Videoke; and Alyas Robin Hood.
Completing the list of most watched Kapuso programs in NUTAM were Wowowin; Ika-6 na Utos; My Korean Jagiya; Imbestigador; Eat Bulaga; Sunday PinaSaya; Impostora; and Tadhana.
GMA Network also dominated the list of top programs in Urban Luzon with 8 of the top 10; while again sweeping Mega Manila’s top 10 list.
