The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration warned Filipino workers from accepting offers of employment in Dubai, Mongolia, Turkey and Russia due to least ideal working condition and some jobs were non-existing.
The POEA received reports of Filipino household service workers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Cyprus who were lured into transferring to another country but later found out the conditions of employment to be least ideal or worse, the offered jobs does not exist.
The recruiters are mostly nationals of the third country who have Filipino partners in their illegal activities.
The agency also said that workers who we were victimized by this racket pay exorbitant fees to travel to the third country using tourist visa and even without assurance of employers waiting for them.
