The La Salle Green Archers celebrated coach Aldin Ayo’s birthday by holding the University of the Philippines to just 14 points in the first period, and their strong start propelled them to an 85-62 crushing of the Fighting Maroons.
Ben Mbala came up with another great game, hitting seven of his 27 game-high points in the first period to lead the Green Archers to a 27-24 spread.

With Mbala making 13 in the second period and coming up with a game-high 14 rebounds, the Green Archers coasted to a 51-27 halftime halftime spread.
Ricci Rivero gunned down 20 points for La Salle as it finished with its seventh win in nine outings.
