Barbie and Ken sweeter in a new film

He betrays her, more than once. Then, they meet again and he wants to rekindle their relationship. Will she open her heart again to the man who had hurt her twice?

Failure of relationships, for whatever reason, is always heart-breaking, and more so when someone feels like she has already lived a majority of her life with that person. But as the saying goes, there’s always a second or a third or even a fourth chance at love. But falling in love for the same person, who apparently caused you so much heartache, is an entirely different story. Will the leading lady choose this uncertain route?

That’s the question asked by the viral movie trailer featuring Kapuso stars Ken Chan and Barbie Forteza that is currently trending on Facebook. As of this writing, the clip uploaded by popular Facebook page SineHub has already amassed 4.5 million views.

REUNITED. After their stint in the top-rating TV series "Meant To Be," Ken Chan and Barbie Forteza are back together, this time in a big screen project.

The latest trailer for the romantic drama shows Barbie as a student who is obsessed with Ken, whose character, on the other hand, is a member of their school’s swimming team. For the first, their being together seems to have happened because it’s destiny, but apparently, the latter is not the type of person who would settle in just one romantic relationship.

Barbie’s character later discovers that she’s not the only person being treated special by their school’s star swimmer.

Following the trailer, years past and the former lovers’ paths cross again. This time Barbie’s character is reluctant to give her former flame a chance as it’s the third time that she’s being treated the same way.

Entitled This Time I’ll Be Sweeter, the film is the first big screen team-up of the KenBie after their successful stint in Meant To Be, the top-rating romantic comedy on GMA 7 that also starred Jak Roberto, Addy Raj, and Ivan Dorschner.

Fans started to notice the onscreen couple’s impeccable chemistry in the teen show Tween Hearts in 2010. Since then their fanbase grew fast in number through the years.

In a previous interview Barbie said that the upcoming movie is sort of a contitnuation of their hit TV series that aired its final episode in June.

“I feel it’s a continuation of Meant To Be since I am with Ken once again. The story is as light as the romcom we starred in early this year. Although I’m excited for this film, I also feel anxious because this romcom film has a lot of dramatic scenes, too. We hope the audience will like it,” the teen actress shared.

The romantic flick is produced by Regal Entertainment and also stars Akihiro Sato, Niel Sese, Kim Rodriguez, Hiro Peralta, Yayo Aguila, Jai Agpangan, Jon Limbo, Rey PJ Abellana, and Ara Mina. It is set to open in cinemas nationwide on Nov. 8.
