MMDA to use No Contact Policy in NCR

The Metro Manila Development Authority will use its No Contact Policy in apprehending illegally parked vehicles, a contributing factor to the worsening traffic situation in the National Capital Region.

“We will use it to clear the roads of illegally parked vehicles, this is what we called the no contact apprehension. After taking pictures or videos, we will send to the car owner a notice detailing what was the violation, the time, location and date when the act was committed,” said MMDA chairman Danilo Lim.

Lim said they came up with the decision to impose the no contact policy to avoid possible confrontation or heated argument between MMDA men and the car owners during road clearing operations.

“They can’t deny because we have photos of their act,” said Lim.
