QC gains land parcel donations from companies

THE 36-member Quezon City council has passed a series of resolutions authorizing Mayor Herbert Bautista to accept property donations from different corporations.

Resolutions 7079, 7082 and 7083 authored by Councilors Alexis Herrera (District 1) and Franz Pumaren (District 3) allow Bautista to sign the deeds of donation and accept certain parcels of land in Quezon City.

City Resolution 7079-2017 declares portions of land, consisting of six alleys, 15 road lots, an open space, and three easements owned by Fern Reality Corp. located inside Fern Village in Barangay Pasong Tamo, that would be donated to the city government.

City Resolution 7082-2017 also affirms the donation of a parcel of land owned by G.B Francisco Inc., particularly Lot 4 (open space), Road Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Lot 9 Block 8, Lot 7 Block 6, Lot 2 Block 7 situated in Doña Amparo Subdivision, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon.

City Resolution 7083-2017 is about the donation of a road owned by Modern Trends Inc., described as Lot 5-H (Road) located at Xavierville Avenue, Loyola Heights.

The properties were transferred in accordance with the provision of Presidential Decree No. 1216, which states that all “open spaces, roads, alleys, and sidewalks in residential subdivisions are for public use and are, therefore, beyond the commerce of men.”
