The city government of Valenzuela is hosting this year’s Camanava S&T Fair and Exhibits at the city’s People’s Park until Thursday.
The Department of Science and Technology, being the lead agency, led the event with Science Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña, Undersecretary Brenda Nazareth-Manzano, DoST-Metals Industry Research and Development Center Executive Director Robert Dizon, and DoST- Food and Nutrition Research Institute Director Dr. Mario Capanzana attending.
Also invited was Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry national president George Barcelon.
Tuesday saw the awarding of Ambassador for Science; the blessing and demonstration of the automated complementary food production facility at the Valenzuela City Polytechnic College; and the Batang Emergency Response Team Camp.
Wednesday’s events included the Science Quest, a quiz contest for junior high school students, at the Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science Collaborative Room.
Thursday sees an eForum on DOST Technologies and R&D Products of FNRI, ITDC and MIRDC at the Valenzuela City Center for the Performing Arts Auditorium and a forum on Equipment Design and Selection of Materials for Small Scale Food Processing Industries, also at the VCCPA.
Bazaar and exhibit booths were installed during the fair and are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
