September 1, 2017 or this coming Friday has been declared a regular holiday by Malacanang.
The order was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte today.

The declaration of the holiday is in view of Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice.
This occasion is among the two important celebrations in Islam.
This means, Filipinos across the country will get to enjoy another long weekend, beginning this Friday.
