Signal number 1 has been raised in Batanes.

This is due to 'Isang,' which is now a tropical storm.
As of 11 am on Monday, PAGASA located the storm at 270 kilometers from Basco, Batanes.
It packs maximum sustained winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 97 kph.
'Isang' is moving west northwest at 17 kph.
The weather bureau predicts the storm will be out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday afternoon.
PAGASA weather forecaster Benison Esteraja says, rains in some portions of Metro Manila are due to the southwest monsoon.
