Nine (9) civilians are reportedly killed in an attack by suspected Abu Sayyaf (ASG) in Basilan on Monday.
Basilan Police Director Superintendent Christopher Panacan reports, the victims died following the attack of about 30 to 50 armed men in Barangay Tubigan, Maluso town.

The attack occured at about 5 am.
The men torched four houses, including a day care center.
Ten (10) other residents were injured in the assault.
The military is now conducting a pursuit operation against the bandits.
