Megawide Construction Corp. said it is joining the bidding for the development of a P12.55-billion new passenger terminal in Clark International Airport in Pampanga province.
Megawide said it was the first to purchase bid documents for the engineering, procurement and construction of Clark International Airport facilities, including the development of a new passenger terminal.
“We’re still eyeing to participate in both EPC and O&M [operations and maintenance], and we believe our experience in MCIA [Mactan-Cebu International Airport] gives us a unique advantage. The company is very much looking forward to the bid,” Megawide said.
The project aims to construct a new passenger terminal building to accommodate 8 million passengers per annum and install all required associated facilities – both landside and airside, to support the operations of the new terminal. The construction period is between 2017 and 2020.
