Radio jock spends birthday with World Vision assisted kids

Radio jock and TV host Joyce Pring recently celebrated her 24th birthday with children from a community assisted by World Vision, a Christian child-focused agency. The party, held on May 20 at La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City, was attended by a few of Joyce’s friends, World Vision staff and about 30 children from Navotas.

“World Vision is very close to my heart. This party is not for me. Para sa mga bata talaga ito.” shared Joyce.

MEANINGFUL CELEBRATION. Radio jock and TV host Joyce Pring recently celebrated her 24th birthday with children from a community assisted by World Vision.

Earlier this year, she joined the World Vision family as Ambassador for Child Sponsorship. She explained that it has been an annual tradition for her to personally organize outreach activities with children.

Aside from treating the children to lunch and snacks courtesy of Burger King and Hungry Juan, Joyce and her friends also entertained the kids with a magic show. Afterwards, the children toured La Mesa Eco Park’s attractions and played fun games with the World Vision celebrity ambassador.

“Sobrang saya ng mga bata. Kakatapos lang naming pumasyal, nakakain na sila, at ngayon meron pa silang baon pag-uwi,” Joyce revels after playing tag with the children. Seven-year-old Reanna smiles and agrees, “Nag-enjoy po ako sa games.”

“Thank you to my World Vision family for making this experience extra special,” said Joyce. “Today was an exhilarating, emotional day of crying and then laughing so hard—because my heart is filled to the brim.”

World Vision recently celebrated 60 years of ministry in the Philippines with the theme “Caring for Children, Building Sustainable Communities.” Joyce offered her precious time and talent to co-host the organization’s anniversary launch last March.

With more generous partners, and ambassadors with a heart for children like Joyce Pring, World Vision is drawing closer to its goal of reaching three million children in the country by 2020.
