Duterte threatens to bomb narco-pols armies

President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to unleash the military’s air assets against private armies of narco-politicians as he confirmed that more names had been added to the new narco-list.

In a hastily called news briefing at Malacañang on Monday night, Duterte once again reiterated his warning to ‘kill’ narco-politicians who continue with their ways.

“Don’t flaunt [to me] that you have this private army. It won’t help you anyway. Look. Even if you have 100, 200 armed men, it won’t help you. Why would you fight me—? I have 12 [FA-50] jets, I’ll just bomb you [if I want],” the President said.

“I will really use the full might of the government. Look —one day, ‘yang mga hijack-hijack diyan, makatikim ’yan. Sabi ko talaga, ang order ko is, ‘Pasabugin mo.’ Kung nagkamali, pasensya.”

Duterte also confirmed that more names had been added to his roster of drug personalities in the country.

“There are new [names in the government’s drug list],” Duterte said.  “Why would I include the names of those slain in the updated [drug list]. The updated one includes those who are still alive.”

In his meeting with mining companies on Aug. 3, Duterte showed an “updated” list containing the names of around 1,000 individuals involved in the drug operations.

The President likewise said that the death of Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Jr. should serve as a lesson to narco-politicians that they may not like the “consequences” they are about to face.

“Itong mga Parojinog family, naging gangster at kinontrol nila lahat pati shabu. At marami silang pinatay na pulis diyan sa Ozamiz na hindi sumusunod sa kanila. They killed about four or five. Then walang makasalita, walang maka-criticize, maski mga radyo doon, tahimik. Talagang papatayin ka,” the president explained.

“Kaya dumating ng panahon… Nang p–– ina niya, sinabi ko, ayan. Sinabi ko sa inyo, huwag ninyong kontrahin ang gobyerno. Gagamitin ko ang gobyerno because I have to protect the people who represent the government. I will not hesitate,” he added.

Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Jr., who were among the names Duterte read when he first released his drug list in August 2016, was killed in a recent drug operation at his home, along with his wife, brother, and 13 others.
