In the last two weeks of I Heart Davao, viewers will find themselves at the edge of their seats as the GMA Public Affairs’ romantic comedy series promises heart-pounding scenes and character twists in the bittersweet story of Hope, Ponce, and Paul.
The cat is out of the bag. Ponce (Tom Rodriguez) finally discovers that Hope (Carla Abellana) underwent a heart transplant operation. To make matters complicated, Paul (Benjamin Alves) reveals to him that Hope’s donor is no other than Ponce’s ex–girlfriend Aileen. Torn between his past and the present, Ponce finds himself caving in again. He flies back to Davao, trying to figure out his feelings for Hope.
Furious, Hope confronts Paul. The latter, in turn, finally sheds off his ‘cool guy’ attitude, letting out all his pent-up emotions overtake him and tells Hope he could no longer be the friend who has been in love with her forever. Hope fires Paul and this is affecting their chocolate business—something that Hope’s sister Pru (Glenda Garcia) won’t allow. Pru threatens to terminate thecontract with the Malagos Farm owned by Ponce’s family.
Those who missed the picturesque view of Davao will have their craving satisfied as more shots of the ‘the land of promise’ await them with Ponce’s homecoming. Upon his return, will Ponce be able to put back together the pieces of his heart and finally find the peace he needed or will Aileen’s memories and her father’s wrath continue to haunt him?
In the past few weeks of I Heart Davao, viewers were also introduced to two noteworthy characters—Max (Patricia Tumulak) and Architect Euge (Zoren Legaspi).
Max, Paul’s friend who came home from abroad, claims she has moved on from her feelings for him. But will this prove true when they spend more time together? Will Paul finally realize that Max can be the perfect girl for him?
Will Hope and Ponce still find their way back to each other’s arms or will their love story have a bitter ending?
