An impeachment complaint has been filed against Supreme Court Chief Justice Lourdes Sereno.
The group Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) submitted the case at the House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon.
The complaint alleges that the chief justice had committed culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust.
VACC cites supposed irregularities in the formation of some administrative offices of the judiciary reportedly without the approval of the Supreme Court en banc.
The group also criticizes Sereno for the conduct of some official trips and on issues about allowances.
VACC also hits that alleged failure of the chief magistrate to fill up some vacant positions.
The impeachment complaint lacks the endorsement of any member of the House of Representatives.
Therefore, the House Secretary General's office says, the paper cannot be considered a verified impeachment complaint.
