The country’s oldest surviving radio station—DZRH—marks its 78th anniversary with medical missions in provinces throughout the country, and a blood drive for soldiers wounded in Marawi.
Partnering with public and private organizations through its “Makabagong Bayanihan” program, DZRH will underscore its commitment to public service via a series of events focusing on public health this month.
On July 18, residents of Baseco Compound in Tondo will benefit from the Villar Sipag multi-services caravan, sponsored by Senator Cynthia Villar.
Then, on July 20, DZRH will hold a bloodletting drive at the Georgetown Subdivision Covered Court, Brgy. Molino IV, Bacoor, in partnership with Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay.
That same day, DZRH, together with some private companies will be extending assistance and providing recognition and entertainment for soldiers wounded during the Marawi conflict who are currently confined at the AFP Medical Center, also known as the V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City.
On July 29, DZRH teams up with World Class Presidents, Rotary International District 3780, and the Baguio City Lions Club to hold a medical and optical mission at the Gov. Bado Dangwa Agro-Industrial School, Brgy. Balakbak, Kapangan, Benguet. The following day, July 30, DZRH and the Rotary Club of Downtown Session will be conducting a medical mission in Baguio.
