Duterte wants Bulacan massacre suspects dead

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday said he wanted all suspects in the Bulacan massacre dead, but quick to clarify he did not order anyone to kill them.

“For me, I said, I will kill them. [But] I did not order anyone [to kill them],” said Duterte in Filipino,  during his visit to the family of the massacre victims in Bulacan.

“When the time comes, you’re dead. Whatever human rights  would do, let them take care of it. Maybe they [human rights groups] would like to handle anti-drug [campaign], I am willing to let go all together my particular duty in reference to drugs. I can give it to them and they are afraid, you enforce it. Not all criminals would live,” said Duterte.

“These killers. I understand one was found dead today. As I have told you, this in an organization, a loose organization of criminals and syndicates,” he said.

“And I will repeat my warning, I told everybody since the beginning that if you destroy my country, I will kill you. And if you destroy the young of this country…it happened here which is more…” said Duterte.

Duterte said he did not give a timeframe for the police to solve the case, “but it should be as soon as possible.”

He said wherever the suspects would hide, “I will catch up with you.”

“I don’t give a shit about human rights…And my job is to see to it—I will repeat—to preserve and defend the Filipino nation. That’s about it,” Duterte said.

Meanwhile, Duterte said the National Housing Authority  offered a housing unit for the family of the victims.

“I gave something like P255,000 and P20,000 and gave him cellphone. I told him that if there is anything that he would need and if he think I can help ‘call me,’” said Duterte.

Duterte condoled with the family’s patriarch, bank security guard Dexter Carlos, who arrived home on June 27 to find his entire family, including his wife Estrella; three children Donnie, Ella and Dexter Jr.; and mother-in-law Auring, dead from multiple stab wounds.

Among those who were at the wake were the family’s relatives who traveled from Baggao, Cagayan and Tagum, Davao Del Norte and who wore white ribbons around their heads.

Police chief Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, along with local officials, accompanied Duterte during the visit.

Suspect Carmelino “Miling” Navarro Ibañes, a 26-year-old construction worker, already admitted to raping Auring and Estrella and to stabbing the family to death.

Ibañes also admitted to using  illegal drugs before committing the crime with two other people although he tested negative for drug use.
