The Department of Justice (DOJ) has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the massacre in Bulacan.

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre has instructed the NBI to make a case build up on the death of 5 persons in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Tuesday last week.

The suspects in the killing of a family of five are Carmelino Ibañez and two others identified through aliases “Inggo” and “Thony.”

Ibañez claimed he had shabu session with the two other men before committing the crime.

Drug test conducted on the main suspect yielded a negative result but San Jose Del Monte Police Chief Superintendent Fitz Macariola explained, this could be due to the time frame and the uncertainty in the outcome of the urine test.

The family of security guard Dexter Carlos died in the incident.

Killed were his mother-in-law Aurura Dizon, wife Estrella and their three children.
