Pacquaio-Horn’s ‘Battle of Brisbane’ on GMA today

Pinoy boxing fans can catch the much awaited Battle of Brisbane, headlined by Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao and Australian Jeff “The Hornet” Horn, exclusively on free TV via GMA 7 today at 10 a.m..

GMA, in partnership with boxing promoter ALV Events International, will also air real-time blow-by-blow account of the WBO Welterweight title fight on its flagship AM radio station DZBB 594 and RGMA Super Radyo stations nationwide beginning 9 a.m..

The eight-division world champion Pacquiao, who holds a 59-6 record including 38 knockouts and 2 draws, is determined to put on another thrilling performance after successfully defending his WBO welterweight world title against Jessie Vargas last November.

Manny Pacquiao and Jeff Horn battle for WBO World Welterweight title 

The “Pambansang Kamao” is facing the 29-year-old Brisbane native Horn, WBO’s No. 1 ranked contender at 147 pounds with a record of 16-0 including 11 knockouts and 1 draw.

The showdown at the SunCorp Stadium in Brisbane is set to become Australia’s biggest fight in history, which will also include two Filipino fighters in the undercard. Jonel Dapidran, Pacquiao’s cousin, will face Australian Brent Dames in the Junior Welterweight bout while another Filipino pride, Jerwin Ancajas, will defend his IBF World Junior Bantamweight title against Japanese Teiru Kinoshita.

The replay of the Battle of Brisbane: Pacquiao versus Horn will also air on GMA tonight at 11 p.m..
