PAL flies to Incheon from Bohol

Philippine Airlines has mounted its first international flight out of Tagbilaran, making Bohol’s capital the fifth Philippine gateway for foreign travelers.

PAL operates daily Tagbilaran-Incheon (South Korea) flights, allowing travelers to reach their destination conveniently with no stop-over in Manila.

The new Cebu-Tagbilaran route, the first domestic link to Bohol outside of Manila, likewise opened.

“Making Tagbilaran a new international gateway provides foreigners with the fastest link to the attractions of Bohol and nearby Visayas cities,” said PAL president and chief operating officer Jaime Bautista,

“Linking international points to sought-after places in the Visayas through convenient connections is the flag carrier’s way of catering to the travel needs of our  patrons,” he added.

Other Philippine cities with international PAL flights include Manila, Cebu, Clark and Kalibo.

PAL also launched daily flights from  Tagbilaran-Cebu.

The new service has increased domestic connections of the Queen City of the South to 13 which already include Cebu, Bacolod, Busuanga, Butuan, Cagayan, Caticlan, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Surigao and Tacloban.

PAL recently signed an agreement with Bomardier Commercial Aircraft Inc. for the purchase of seven more Q400 new generation aircraft for $235 million.

The new aircraft, which is expected to take delivery in July 2017, will be utilized on specific PAL domestic routes.

The remaining four Q400 aircraft will be delivered until November this year.
