La Luna Sangre

Much has been written about the return of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla on the boob tube. Although they are the main stars of La Luna Sangre, we can’t deny the fact that the series’ impressive performance especially in the ratings game is also due to the all-star cast that’s making positive impression among viewers and netizens across different social media platforms. The show has only been around for a week but it is definitely the viewers’ most favorite primetime show now.

Barbie Forteza

The trending Kapuso show, Meant to Be, is singing its swan song today ending its five-month run on primetime. While there are four leading men who play four interesting characters, it’s the role that Barbie plays makes the show even more captivating. The show would have been different, the ratings would have been different, too, had another actress played Billie, the real star of the show. We wouldn’t be surprised if Barbie would win an award for her relatable performance in a romcom.

Maja Salvador

By now, a few memes inspired by her show, Wildflower, have dominated your social media timeline. What’s really good about social media is that we can see the viewers’ instantaneous reaction on an actor’s performance in a particular scene. And it’s safe to say that Maja’s acting in Wildflower makes the viewers go wild evidenced by how people respond online.

Jake Zyrus

Unless you’re living under a rock, you wouldn’t know that Charice has already changed her name into something that she feels matches her persona and status as an individual. Like Rustom Padilla, killed by BB Gandanghari, Charice has just been killed by Jake. And the singer’s grandmother vowed to kill the person who murdered her granddaughter. Oh by the way, while people respect her decision, this doesn’t change the fact the she has already lost a lot of things including her once blooming career.

Edgar Allan Guzman

There are actors in the industry whose career can’t just flourish. They remain bit players either on TV or in film. They might be given an important role once just to test the waters but no follow up would be made if they failed to deliver. And that exactly what’s happening to Edgar Allan. No wonder he’s transferring to another network again trying to find better opportunities.

Kiko and Baron

What else can two washed up celebrities do to still be in the limelight? Simple — make a scene. And that’s what the two did in a latest event that was supposed to promote Kiko Matos’ official URCC bout. Baron, who was uninvited in the event, was there to trash talk the first until the two engaged in a fight. They could’ve come up with a better scheme and script to make this publicity stunt believable. Nice try though.
