No official functions today for Duterte

President Rodrigo Duterte has no schedule of events today.

This is the fourth day that the President is not seen in public.

His partner, Honeylet Avanceña, and daughter Veronica (‘Kitty’) are reportedly with him at the palace.

Duterte skipped the Independence Day activities last Monday.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano said the President did not get enough sleep the night before.

He spent Sunday night with the families of soldiers who died fighting in Maute terrorists in Marawi City.

That evening, he witnessed the arrival of the bodies of the government troopers at Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.

Then, he went to the Philippine Marines Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City where he also visited the wake for the fallen Marines.
