AT least 21 barangay executives in Quezon City’s District 1 have joined the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan to support the Duterte administration’s agenda.
In an interview, District 1 Councilor Peter Anthony “Onyx” Crisologo said the local officials took their oath as new members of the PDP-Laban as the first step to unify, get down to work and ensure that the thrust of President Rodrigo Duterte is achieved at the grassroots level.
“We are working for our city and the country,” he told the Manila Standard.
A basic membership seminar was held last March prior to the barangay of executives’ oath-taking before District 1 Rep. Vincent Crisologo.
The 21 officials, led by Emma Lourdes “Apple” de Jesus, vowed to help the President’s anti-drug campaign and good governance.
The young Crisologo has expressed appreciation to the efforts of the barangay executives to help pursue the campaign of the President against narcopolitics.
He and Councilors Don de Leon, Eufemio Lagumbay, Kate Coseteng, Mara Suntay, Godofredo Voltaire Liban III and Victor Ferrer Jr. recently took their oath as new PDP-Laban members before House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
